Hey,

I've been getting BSODs when updating my graphic card drivers. I bought a Precision m4400 in January, 2009 from Dell Outlet. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, and the graphics card is a Quadro FX770m. Last November, I updated the graphics card drivers to the latest nVidia had at the time. After the install, I received a BSOD. Could not find an owner's lounge for this system, so I'll start it.

Just did a CTO Zbook 17. I am upgrading from an HP 8760w with Dreamcolor.

I am a working photographer and 3D animator using this for Lightroom and Maya.

Here are the main specs:

i7-4900MQ
Dreamcolor
Quadro K5100M 8GB
Bluray BDR/RE

I ordered the lowest RAM and storage, and will upgrade to two Samsung 840EV 1TB SSDs and 1 Samsung 840EV 1TB MSATA as well as 32GB SODIMM Ripjaws. Was wondering if this will work with the...

HP 8460p: upgrade CPU from i5-2520m (Sandy Bridge) to i7-3520m (Ivy Bridge)?

Hi
has anyone tried before to upgrade the Elitebook 8460p CPU?
Are there any known issues with the upgrade to a Ivy Bridge CPU?

I selected the i7-3520m since it's has the same power requirements of the i5-2520m (TDP 35W), and can be found with the same socket (G2 rPGA 988B), but it has 4 cores and a slightly better GPU (HD4000), which also has support for Windows 10 (while HD3000 has not)....

I just got the machine yesterday and I'm loving it. I don't have any real issues with it other than the gimped vbios that we already know about.

Finally!!! Alienware M18x R2 with Dual 980M SLI

Here are some basic steps to upgrade Alienware M18x R2 to Dual 980M SLI successfully. This configuration only tested Windows 8 or 8.1, it will not work with Windows 7.

1. Before replacing card, go to system Bios (keep your old graphics card inside system or not any graphics card installed). Then click on Boot tab, UEFI = Enabled, Legacy ROM = Disabled. F10 to save bios and Exit. After then turn off system.

2. install Single or Dual 980M....

guyz i have found this in nvidia forums. do you think he is right? shall i revert back to previous drivers? if ever i revert back to previous drivers will my geforce experience revert back to the previous verson as well or its ok if i use the latest geforce experience? i post this here on purpose instead of the Gaming (Software and Graphics Cards) because i wanted to ask alienware users....

Hey All,
I have a laptop equipped with a 780m and am considering purchasing an external monitor, mostly for music composition, photoshop, and of course gaming... not the fps kind (for the most part) but games like Dota2 Starcraft2 and other rts games. Ideally I wanted to go big, and this monitor caught my eye:the Benq BL3200pt. But my concern is will my laptop struggle with the 2560x1440 resolution through the mini display port....
